With Discord, because everything this site shows is about a Discord account in a Discord server. There is no password here and nothing to create.
What is asked for
- Your account — the id and username, so the site knows who you are. Not your email address: Discord offers it and this site does not ask, because it would then be holding an address for no reason.
- The servers you are in — with your permissions in each, which is what decides whether you are shown a server’s configuration or only your own record. It is read again on every request rather than trusted from the moment you signed in, so losing a role takes effect on your next click.
Neither gives this site the ability to do anything in a server. It reads who you are; the bot is what acts, under the permissions it was invited with.
Signing in is not accepting the terms. That is a separate step, recorded against the version you were shown.
